1st Certificate level Russian Course

The course consists of 20 lessons. At the end of the course you will be able:
  • To communicate with native speakers in in accordance with the norms of Russian speech etiquette.
  • To achieve his or her basic communicative objectives in everyday communication in the following situations and locations: in the store, at the bank, in the restaurant, in the classroom, on the streets, in public transport, while visiting a doctor or a pharmacy.
  • To discuss the questions related to biography, job or study options, educational systems in Russia and in the home country, role of foreign languages in a person's life, lifestyle, modern cities and their role as centers of culture and tourism, history, geography and culture of Russia and home country, development of science and culture, ecology and nature preservation.
  • To write a text (20+ sentences).
You may want to pass the state exam on the Russian language as a foreign language: "First Certificate Level (B1).This Certificate allows its holder to enroll in a Russian university.

Structure and content of the course

The course covers topics related to the long term stay in Russia and professional and cultural immersion in to Russian life.

The course includes 20 Dialogues, 20 texts, 140 exercises, 2300 words (vocabulary).

Every lesson consists of the following sections: "Let's memorize", "Let's listen and read", "Let's repeat after the teacher", "Let's learn the grammar", Check yourself and Homework.

The amount of time we recommend spending on one lesson is approximately 5-7 hours. The material of an entire level takes about 100-150 hours to accomplish.
